Cumberland Falls State Park

A tremendous attraction for our area. For any out of towners reading this, it's worth a visit. It's only about 15 miles or so, but give yourself 30 minutes to get there. Coming off of I-75 south, turn right, and follow the signs. Coming north, turn left.

The falls are gorgeous to look at, and there are great hiking trails as well. The lodge is beautiful, and the restaurant is very, very good, particularly their buffets on the weekends.

In the summer, the pool is one of the best, and they offer horse trail riding.

We just enjoy the drive down and back on the weekends. It's a beautiful drive.

I have heard the Director of the Park, Ms. Davis, is an outstanding leader and totally dedicated to the improvement of Cumberland Falls State Park. This is a crown jewel for our area. It would be great to see a golf course in that area and it would bring in more people from spring to late fall.

My husband and I are going for the Valentine weekend retreat with the Will Rogers show, looking forward to staying at the Dupont for the first time ever after living here for years.

Some visiters came to town to see us and had a chance to see Cumberland Falls State Park. They were taken by surprise and wondered why it is not promoted more by the Kentucky Tourism office in Frankfort. They could not believe a beautiful place like that with all the people it attracts, does not have a golf course.

Kentucky is missing out on more visitors and greater tourism revenues in not doing a better job promoting Cumberland Falls and in not having a Cumberland Falls Golf Course.

HEY MAYBE LONDON WILL CONSIDER ANNEXING THE FALLS, THEN YOU WILL GET YOUR GOLF COURSE.

London should consider annexing your big mouth and using it to blow hot air in the winter.

Lisa Davis, the Executive Director of Cumberland Falls State Park, is doing a great job, and has a sincere interest in being involved in our area in a number of ways.  She is very experienced in Tourism and Chamber of Commerce work.

She is a great resource for our area and has an excellent vision of our future.

Bob Terrell, Sr.

I have had several people tell me that this site has some of the best information about Cumberland Falls State Park. There are some very good photos as well. This is a very informative website for Tourism.
