I thought I'd bring this over from another section, as many people may not go into the Redhound Sports section.
It asked if the state high school basketball tournament should be played in a "class" type setting, as football is.
Separate the schools by class, not districts and regions. I assume they meant stay in the class of football they are in, and rate them that way.
I say YES.
Like another poster said, that is why they started the "All A Classic" tourney.
Rarely, does a school or corbin, w'burg, b'ville, pineville, have a chance at a b'ball state title.
Some say b'ball is different, I say NO.
And, I agree the private or religions schools should be in their own class and tournament. Then, we'll see how good they are. When they lose their ability to recruit, and YES, they do recruit, we'll see how they do.
