Estep commented in his paper the other day that someone had printed off some of the pages from this site and gave them to him. That was when he did his famous "that site should be taken off the internet" editorial. Of course he wouldn't say who gave them to him, it was confidential. (this is the same guy that says anonymous letter writers are cowardly) He won't give up the source of the pages given to him.
It might be a good idea to print off some of these pages weekly, and mail them to him. Even if he trashes them, at least we tried.

Is it a good idea to have two people serve on the tourism board with elected city officials in their family?
Why would that matter?
Well its called conflict of interest! A husband is a commissioner and the wife is on tourism? Or how bout a Father is mayor and the son is on tourism. City Officials may be influenced by that particular board. So far this doesn't seem to be the case though.
It is a conflict of interest. There are just a few boards in city government usually with 6 to 8 people serving on them. The family members of the elected officials should let someone else serve.
What about a commissioner whose sister is on the Industrial Commission? I don't think it is a conflict because the City does not have the authority to tell these boards how to vot.
