You have given more validation to this site. I would venture to say that two or three times the people are checking this site out now, and the letter today just helped prove the point.
To the posters for and against anything, to those who sign their names and those who don't, and to those that just read, congratulations. The best way to judge your worth is to have people contradict your thoughts and issues in a public forum, like the papers.
Oh, and by the way, this is not the administrator, just a person who is thankful for this site and the freedom of speech it encourages.
I don't live in Corbin but take your weekly newspaper and watch this website regularly. I agree with the last post. The News Journal has once again demonstrated why this site is important to the area.
Very few places in Kentucky have a place in which you can regularly give your opinion and ideas. I believe this site will gain recognition and an increase in audience . The last post is right, whether we agree with each other or not, this is America. I am tipping off some other Corbin natives that live in other places and get them to be regulars of this website. THis site is an example of why we are fighting for democracy in the world, to say what you please.
In all the posts I've read here, I've yet to read one that is a personal attack on anyone other than an elected official, past or present. And in my opinion, any publicly elected official better be ready to answer any issue put before them, and that goes for any volunteer commtitee member or chairman. If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen.
Likewise if you don't like who is serving on boards, committees or Nibroc then tell the Mayor that you would be willing to serve instead of just making cheap gutless jabs at the people who do all the work. I would like to be standing nearby if you ever got the guts to go up to Bubba and smart off to him like you do here.

Nothing is Secret anymore, if you serve as an elected official or on any committe its going to be Public Information as it should be. Be ready to debate the facts and back up your actions with good information as to Why you did what you did and the Return On Investment the City will get.

1. This site is one of half a dozen with a message board, "dedicated" to Corbin. 2. This message board was only installed after they quit paying Bob Terrell Jr. 3. I find it hilarious that all of you praise monkeys ALL of YOU, don't post your real names.
Everyone has a right to their own opinion, I would fight to the death to defend that right for you, even though I think you're completely wrong.

It is amazing for you to say that, but I notice all your insults and negative comments about the Terrells have not been banned. The Terrells sign their messages. If someone insults or degrades anyone it should be taken off.

Right on to you and WKUGirl. I agree! You can tell it is the same two people who post the criticism of this website. This website is getting more and more messages each week. The two people who are the critics cry they will be banned but they seem to get their criticism of the Terrells on whenever they want to. You are just scared because the people are speaking up.
Back on the first few days of November the Tourism Commission took down the website it had used several years. They decided to replace it with a cheaper one. Four months later I can't find their new one anywhere. Where is it? Mr. Estep's big deal about changing websites makes the Tourism Commissions look like an inept and impotent organization. Why would it take four months to put up a cheap website? They should apologize to the people of this area and to the former producer of the excellent website they used to have. How can they sweep this under the rug along with providing money for the recreation facilities that didn't comply with the rules for seeking bids? How can they and the Chamber stand by and let our Horse Show miss this year? What in the world are they doing? Why can't they stand up against their obstinate and dominating chairman? Does anybody care? Is mediocrity approved and blessed? Does breaking the rules matter anymore? Corbin has an opportunity to be a great community. Let's make it happen!
