This is locally owned and run by David Keck. I have eaten there often and have enjoyed the food. Everyone in the area needs to support our local people. Its a great place to eat with great food.
I travel a lot and eat at many different restaurants, but I look forward to coming home and eating at David's every Sunday. Great food, great service, and great value.
Ryan's is good. I've driven to Richmond several times just to eat there. But it's not as good as David's. I could eat at David's every day and never get tired of their food.
But if Ryan's is coming to this area, then I'd much rather see it go in Corbin than to see London get it.
By the way, I just called Ryan's guest relations and asked if a restaurant was planned for this area and she said "We're not building anywhere right now."
So it looks like no Ryan's for Corbin in the immediate future.
Please don't take this the wrong way as it could sound sarcastic when read, but, I don't think that cold calling a corporation like Ryan's and asking them if they're going to build a restaurant in corbin is a very reliable way to find out if it is so.
For example, a company I am involved with in a small way knew that Applebee's was looking at corbin for almost a year before any word got out to anyone that they were interested.
Corbin is one town where people that invest money in anything that has to do with real estate have to be very careful, or word gets out and the price shoots up 1 million % on the land just because of the possibility of someone buying it for a business.
I'd love to see David's open up another steakhouse on the south exit. They are totally separate business areas, and he would do well there I feel.
