Why don't you get the records? I don't see why anyone would want to do any business with the any board or commission in Corbin. For peanuts why would anyone want to deal with people like you. The thing you should be asking for are the records on how the NIBROC Leader spends the money he receives from Tourism. Your bird dog is leading you down the wrong trail.

I don't have the records but I do know from keeping up with tourism in the newspapers that they had been paying money each month to the webmaster of this message board. Then all of a sudden when the chairman wanted to go another route the bashing began. It seems as long as the flow of cash was steady that nothing much was said about the tourism website but when the flow of cash stopped the message board attacks started. Go figure.

Terrell: $300 a month to do nothing to a tourism website that never changes. Gets a few posts questioning that deal on here.

Estep: 0$ a month to chair a committee responsible for lots of money. Constantly criticized and second-guessed. Has at least three entire topics on this board alone dedicated to blasting him.

Of the two, I'd say Mr. Terrell is getting the sweetheart deal.

The News Journal had a great headline yesterday for his editorial. He and OJ.

I don't remember that the News Journal endorsed any candidate last year. But this year they have already endorsed Fletcher. That is their right. But last year they did not endorse a person from the Corbin area for Judge-Executive.

Well, lets see.

Swindler has nothing to gain or lose from her reporting. She is employed by her company, who transferred her here to do a job. To put out the paper. She doesn't know Don, or his cronies at Economic Development or City Hall, so she has no dog in the fight. Her job is not affected by anything anyone here does, so shes economically neutral. She's gained the respect of much of the communtiy from her involvement in various local community activities, and fair and unbiased reporting.

Estep, has everything to lose from his remarks, as the people he has been around all his life, are now questioning his ethics as a committee chairman, and a newspaper publisher. His sense of fair play is now in question.

So, now the tapes come out.

The man who is running the show is just digging himself into a more difficult ditch everytime he writes on of his Editorials, or comments in Tourism meetings about Samantha or Bob Jr. he just makes his position more unbelievable. One of his good friends should have a heart to heart talk with him and let him know how bad he is making himself look. He has done some good things in the past years but he seems to become obsessed at times in ways that make him look so bad. Somebody talk to him.
