The last few posters are trying another old baiting tactic, change the subject, try and put the blame on you for exposing their problems and secret issues they tend to hide.
I would have expected some of these people to be a little more crafty in trying to trap you into saying something silly or in the end, discontinue this site.
The interesting part is the number of views these posts are getting, this means what you are doing is working, and quite well I might add.
Keep the Boards up, open and free.
Remember the people who are complaining are the very ones that are being looked at and scrutinized, there not use to that and having to operate in the Public eye.

I see nothing wrong with anonymous posting even if it is with a proxy server. Anoymous IP addresses should not be banned. This post was made with a proxy server. Just because a proxy server is used does not mean the post is bad. It only means the the poster would prefer that others, including the board administrator, not know their identity. It is the content of the post that is important and the board administrator can always take care of the content if necessary. In fact, any time the board administrator believes that a post is inappropriate, whether it be toward him, his dad, a public official or anyone else, he has the right to edit or remove it and I support him in doing so.

It's his board, and it's his rules. If you or anyone else doesn't like it, then you're free to go somewhere else. Maybe you can sue the board Estep is wanting to install on his new $25 website for the city. Oh, sorry, it won't have a message board, or much else for that matter.
You are exactly right when you say "its his board, and its his rules". And its his agenda too that is being promoted not a board being operated for the good of Corbin.
You do not care if the administrator knows your personal information since your posts show that you are enamored by the board family owners and subscribe to their point of view on everything.
If you just want a message board that slaps each other on the back and gives high fives when city leaders are insulted then by all means ban IP addresses.
If you want a message board that will allow a spirited exchange of ideas on both sides of an issue then keep the board free for posting.

If that is true why did he allow your criticism of him and his dad to be posted? I believe he has done a very good job of handling this message board. There are some rules for message boards and he is following those rules.

From reading the board recently, I believe that there have been many different people posting. Some of the posts went beyond what I consider to be fair and I would have never made them.
There are many ideas that I share and agree with regarding the board administrator. For example, his original idea that the board should be open and people be allowed to express their opinions. Unfortunately, he has changed his mind and is taking steps to eliminate posting from people with another point of view.
"Allow your criticism"? Do not be confused. The board administrator is banning IP addresses right and left. Sometimes it takes several attempts at changing IP addresses to submit a post. The post rejects and the message advises that the IP address has been banned. I often put that message in bold at the bottom of my post for all to see.
If the board administrator could, and he may eventually be able to, he would ban all IP addresses which he thinks are critical of his position. When he does, this board will just be for yes men.
I have made no personal attacks against anyone on this message board and would never do so. Someone else may be doing that but not me.
But make no mistake, the board administrator is not allowing criticism if he can block it before it gets posted.
