If Bashear wins, he'll have to put up or shut up the first 2 years. If not, he'll show he wasn't elected, only chosen as the lesser of two evils.
One good thing, he'll be on the hot seat as to the normal political hiring and firing, and any republicans that were hired under the merit system by Fletcher, it'll be interesting to see if he tries to fire them, and hire his democrat friends to replace them.
I think Bashear will win, hands down and by a landslide, all because of his indictments, his hiring and firing issues, and his pardons. He may carry the few republican strongholds, like whitley county.
