I have wondered the same thing. I see cars flying down Kentucky, as well as Main Street. If the Corbin PD wants to make our streets safer, set up speed traps and start ticketing. They also may find that they could bring in enough additional revenue from fines to afford another cop or two.
I walked last night, and the speeding is terrible on kentucky street, especially the sectoin when you pass 7th street, the last traffic light till you get to Hamlin & Kersey's. It's like a race track.
Where are the police.
I think I'll stop by the mayors house and ask him to walk with me, and stand down by the side street by city utilities and have him watch the speeders with me.
Those motorcycles are the worse offenders. Especially the ones where they ride almost bent over double, "rockets" they call them. They need to be put under the jail. No respect for pedistrians or anything.
Yesterday on Main street and Kentucky street it was like a race track. There is no respect for the safety of other people by many of our drivers. It is dangerous wherever you drive anymore. And this is a lousy example for our young people to see adults driving recklessly.
