Ballou Vs. Prewitt: which judge is best for our area.

We see a lot of signs out for Prewitt, but in my circles, they're just signs.

The only people that truly want Prewitt on the bench, are people like Scotty Williamson. He sure loves her. That's about the only one I can think of.

And the ones that DOESN'T want Dan Ballou on the bench, are criminals and law breakers.

What does that tell you.

Comments.

Come on folks, someone has to have an oRestaurant Consultantn on this.
Mine,

Ballou upholds the law.

Prewitt upholds her political affiliations.

Ask Ken Mobley the jailer about Prewitt.

Did you read his letter.

Ms. Prewitt has the experience and knowledge to be a good judge. She has way more experience and has practice law for some time. Remember their is always two sides to a story.

I think people need to consider Kathy Prewitt strongly for Circuit Judge.

I deal with the slugs and thugs of this area every day.

When you tell them they're going to court, the first question they ask is "Which judge?"

If you mention Ballou, they cringe and start talking about how much time they'll get, how big their fine will be, or how much community service they'll serve.

IF you mention Prewitt, they smile, and make plans for when they get home that day.

BALLOU IS THE PERSON TO KEEP OUR STREETS SAFE.

Kathy Prewitt is the best candidate for the job. Then lets leave Dan Ballou in the District Court and let Ms. Prewitt use here knowledge of the law at a more important court. Circuit Court is so important we get a quality judge. Ms. Prewitt will be a great Circuit Court with her experience.

I think the solution has just been resolved. Thanks for posting 1 up.

Dan Ballou can still be called judge at the District Level!

Today it was reported she reduced the charge from a felony to a misdemeanor for the county official that stole the copper wire while working a wreck.

A felon is a felon.

She appears soft on crime. Is she.

From the last post, you appear to agree with me. She's soft on crime and criminals. Is that what you want?

One of her politicial signs says "courteous". Courteous is not the word I'd use for her.

Judge Ballou's penalty usually fits the crime. Sometimes it is way out there, but his goal is to not see them again. He makkes them obtain GED, holds parents responsible with juveniles and takes kids away from unfit parents no questions asked. Prewitt has no kids and tries to make politically correct decisions. Look at the history -- Williamson, is prime example that most get off with slap on the rest.... It is very sad when you hear offenders say they hope they get Prewitt.. They no they have it made and can go to the house!!!! Maybe good for her to move up!! Isn't that the way it goes?? Those that don't preform move up?????

I agree! This is well put about who should be in what court.
People of Whitley and Mccreary Counties need to realize this is the best solution for our Court System.
Prewitt is very smart and will make an excellent Circuit Judge who makes very important decisions. Instead of a military man making those decisions. Whats he going to do make the companies etc do push up, like he makes the youth as part of punishment.

I am not saying she is soft on crime. I just think she is the best candidate for Circuit and Dan Ballou is the best judge to stay in District Court. If he is so good at that level then lets leave him. I really like them both and just feel it is in the best interest of our court system if Ballou stays district judge. People fear him at that level. I am not sure he will be good with Circuit issues.

Yes, but Prewitt is BAD at both of them. Let's not put her in there just because she is a terrible judge, soft on crime, and not a nice person to the people she serves.

You don't promote someone when they're bad at what they do to get them out of your hair, you fire them. Prewitt needs fired, or in this case, not elected.

I'm glad you admitted she was soft on crime.

Just think of it. Joe Redneck breaks into your house, trashes the inside, steals our stuff, and tries to burn it down. The police catch him, and he goes to trial. Prewitt decides not to make it a felony because of who his mom and dad are, or what politicial faction he votes for. She pleads it down, and he's back at your house again in 2 weeks, stealing the rest of your stuff.

And you want to make her a circuit judge because she's a terrible district judge.

You need to get out of the house more. Read the papers. Watch the news.

Oh, and talk to the whitley county jailer about her. I believe he has a few things to say about it.

Kenny Mobley is a dedicated law enforcement officer. He has much more integrity and experience than Prewitt in the law as we see it.

Once again 2 sides to every story, wait till case gets resolved and you hear the real truth. Ms. Prewitt can't defend herself because case is still going. The jailer doesn't have any class either.

Prewitt is the best candidate for Circuit Judge. Leave Ballou in District. both will still be called judge

That's the first time I've ever heard anyone say they wanted to elect a bad judge to a higher position because they were terrible in the position they held previously.

So, she's soft on crime and criminals, so instead of getting her out of the system to protect us all, you want her in a higher court, to screw up even more important cases.

Remember, Prewitt was "APPOINTED" to her present position, not elected. And you can tell.

I didn't day she was soft on crime. I just said she would be a great Circuit Judge with her knowledge. If Ballou is so good at District why not leave him.

People on this board need to stop twisting what someone says.

Maybe we should leave Prewitt at the district since she is such a bad judge. How about that.

Why would you take someone like her, over someone like Judge Ballou.

His military experience alone should show people he knows how to handle the job.

When the jailer for the county says someone is a bad judge, then you should take that to heart. Except for he county attorney, there is no one that deals with them more than the jailers.

The poster 1 up is wrong, Ms Prewitt is a great judge. you sound like a male pig
I sure you are, and probably beat your wife.

Ms. Prewitt is the best candidate for the job at both levels over Ballou.

We all know who you are.

So you're saying if we don't support Prewitt, we're all male pigs and beat our wives. What if I'm a woman? Am I a sow and beat my husband? You're what Prewitt really needs to convince those to vote for her, keep on posting there last poster, you're helping Ballou with every word you type.

The best candidate huh? Well, she's never been elected, just appointed. Ballou has been elected. The people trust him. Prewitt serves at the convinence of the republician governor, not he people.

Talk to the jailer and police officers in Whitley and McCreary counties. Ask them what they think of her. She turns out felons before the arrest reports are done. Go and sit in her court on day, or even several days. She puts "courteous" on her posters and signs, NOT!!!

And, while we're at it, just who am I? Go ahead, take a chance, name that poster.

You have a right to pick the candidate of your choice, but that same right goes to those who pick Ballou. Why would you assume that poster was male, and why would you suggest he beats his wife? Speak up for the person you support but we don't need to trash those who select another candidate.

I agree. I'm for Ballou too. I've seen Prewitt's work, and it made me want to vote for Ballou.

Wonder why that poster insuinated that the previous poster was a man and beat his wife. Makes you think as to what kind of people support Prewitt.

Prewitt is still best judge for job. We won't even get into the part about their personal lives and who is the best candidate there. Lets really look at who has the most experience. Prewitt by far has the most and most knowledge to lead this court.

Why do you blame it on the Prewitt supporters. Its that time of year when kids start stealing pumpkins, signs etc. How low can that be blaming her or her supporters. Get real.
Its just like any thing that go out on the streets, the kids have a contest to see who can steal or take the most.

Once again Ms. Prewitt is by far the best candidate of the two for the position of Circuit Court Clerk. She has the most experience and knowledge to make good decisions. Lets leave Ballou in District court. They both will still be called Judge.

The people have spoken, and they shouted out what they wanted. They wanted a person who's tough on crime and criminals, and doesn't play politics with our court system. Dan Ballou was the person.

The only bad thing is, we still have to endure Prewitt until the next election. Hopefully, some good folks will step up and take the challenge. The only thing Prewitt is fit to judge is,,,,,well, actually nothing.

WOW can you believe it. Ballou wins the election and then goes back into military duty. Rumor has it he could have stayed here and took care of his son who is sick. How can a judge do that to his family and also leave such an important job to go to War! He knew all along he was going back overseas. I wish who ever supported him would tell me what promises he made to them about being a good judge and upholding his office. Let alone leave his wife with a sick child.
