Hope your reading this, is there anyway you could intervene and help the folks who work in the Knox County part of Corbin.
We need some representation as were being taxed out of our paychecks and our area is getting none of our Tax money returned, it's our homes, roads, bridges that will not get any attention. the City Of Corbin will not protect our interest and protect our paychecks from being ravaged.
Can anyone out there defend us???????????????????????????????????
About the only thing the Union or Teamsters could do, is help organize a drive to have some new commissioners run for office, get those that are in there out, and vote to take knox county to court over that money.
Oh, and while they're at it, get a city attorney with some guts to help push it through.
Perhaps East Corbin/West Knox should incorporate and become a city? Maybe we would get more support out of Knox County. It is clear that East Corbin/West Knox are not of any importance to the City of Corbin or Knox County's Fiscal Court. Maybe then we will have some people who care. We want the occupational taxes paid in Corbin, Knox County to be used to help our area.
There you go! Once again you show your intelligence. Why didn't the East Corbin people think of that. You are really bright. Maybe you could run for something.

I run several miles each day, thank you. Thanks for complimenting my intelligence. The City of Lynn Camp would sound pretty good. Bob Lockhart could be the first Mayor. Gray could be one of our main suburbs. Soon we would be bigger than Corbin, Whitley County. Both Industrial Parks would be in Lynn Camp, Knox County. Lynn Camp could then get an Industrial Commission that would know what they were doing.

That's the best idea I've heard.
The West Knox fire dept is already up and running, we have the constable always on duty, good idea.
The knox county side of corbin has more tax base than the entire downtown area, thanks to our progressive city leaders. The most valuable property in 15 city blocks is the Depot, and city hall if you count that.
