I remember some minor controversy on here about the tourism board and them deciding to hire a new website person. Well, I went to the site today just to see if anything was up, but it was only a temporary page. There was a link to the company that is doing the site though and they really have some impressive credentials. The examples I clicked on of sites they've done in the past like AISIN and the London Chamber of Commerce and others looked fantastic. So there is no need for anyone to worry. it seems like things are in good hands.
Why do I say $12.50, well, Ol Don forgot to tell people the state reimburses them 50% of the cost of the website, he sort of left that out. So, before, in reality they were only paying $125 a month. Still too much you say, well, we'll see.
The company doing the site seems to have an impressive list of clients, so it should be good. If Tourism is getting a site for $12.50 a month that really is a good deal. I guess they made the right decision.
My cousin works in HR at AISIN and I asked her about this. She said they are very pleased with their website and that the company is very good to work with.

The board members should be commended.
Isn't the company doing the web site for tourism the same one that does Estep's paper web site. Isn't that convinent, and interesting.

The board members should be commended. How is it looking?
Good thing Don and the gang had it changed to the new vendor. People are making their plans for the spring and summer, and corbin will have nothing to offer them.

A friend of mine visited China recently and you can get a website in China for ten dollars a month. I believe Tourism should reopen the bidding process and contact China and even India. How is our new website performing? I believe we are being overcharged and we should check out these other countries. We sure don't want to overpay our own Americans. It would be a shame to pay any American a fair price for their services. Look at how many Chinese tourists we could bring to our area.
The new Tourism website was conceived the first of November, I believe. Mr. Estep is now three months pregnant with his new baby. Does anyone know if has been born, or when it will be born?

The board members should be commended. Yes, the board members should be commended for saving money on the new website by eliminating it completley. Corbin doesn't need a first class website anyway. We should have our Tourism money go to help support the Whitley County Airport. The air traffic is so heavy with tourists coming and going through that airport it is all we need in helping us bring money to our area.
We really don't need to provide any prospective tourists any news or information about our area. They can get everything in the News Journal. Websites are not used much anyway. The internet won't last much longer because it is just a fad that will soon fade away.
Why do we want to be good at anything? Mediocrity is much easier. Thank goodness the Tourism Board made such a great decision.

The board members should be commended. Commend them again and again. We no longer have a Tourism Website. We don't need to worry. Things are in good hands?
