Back in the 1950's there was a story that when you drove from Cumberland Falls State Park toward Route 25 on foggy nights you could sometimes see the appearance of a ghost like person crossing the road.
After passing the bridge and toward Rt. 25 at the lookout where people took pictures and got some views of the area, just a mile or so later a number of times I saw what appeared to be this ghost like figure crossing the road. It was a foggy figure shaped like a person and it just slowly ambled across the road.
My girl friend would scoot over close to me in the car and put her arms around me as I screamed out "there's the ghost, watch out for the ghost!" (we didn't have consoles or seat belts back then so it was easier for me to protect her from the ghost)
Many young couples passing that way got the shock of seeing that ghost. Fortunately, they were close to each other and made it through these horrifying experiences.
