It is great to see new talent ready to work on behalf of our people. But I must ask an important question, do you live in the City of Corbin? If you do live in the city limits I don't believe you should serve on the Tourism Board. Sorry.

I'm new in town and am very mobile, I have a pull trailer and can be a city resident in a matter of minutes.

I'm well liked, multi talented, dress nice and people just flat like me. My vast experience will enhance the Board and create "I" Fred Garvin as the man who will lead our team into the future.

Still looking for new friends as I am new to the city but given a chance could do great things. I have a 5-year plan ready at this very moment!!!!

Welcome Fred.

I think you'd fit right in with our city leaders and various boards that we have here.

You need to talk to Williard McBurney, our mayor, as he appoints all the board members, of course with the blessing of all the commissioners and city manager. We may have a city manager job open soon, as the tax bills aren't out yet still.

Your 5 year plan sounds great, as that is 4 years, 10 months more of a plan than our city has now. How about a look at it, let us check it out.

Be careful with your pull trailer though. If you're that mobile, they may think you're a portable meth lab and raid you.

You should contact Don Estep or Bruce Carpenter, they need some help with their various committees. Do you have any construction experience? Bruce needs some help building a building in our industrial park, it's only 18 months behind schedule, and Don needs some help planning his Kentucky Fried Chicken Bucket decorations for our light poles.

Again, welcome, and jump right in.
