New Italian Restuarant at the Corbin South Exit

Does anyone have information regarding this new establishment? All I've heard is that it will be an Italian restaurant - alcohol, is it a national chain, etc.

It will be Italian, will serve alcohol, supposed to open in Early October I believe, looks like it will be a pretty nice restaurant.

The Tuscany will be opening the day after Thanksgiving, Friday the 24th. serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food sampled there is incredible. Enjoy Corbin's newest dining experience.

I have heard some very good things about some of the special dinners held at Tuscany Garden prior to their opening for breakfast Friday, November 24.  It looks like we have a top notch restaurant and it is very close to exit 25 at I-75. This looks like a very good resource for our community.

Had an opportunity to stop at the pre-opening last night, and was very impressed. Tuscany Garden, from the food to the wait-staff, is first class. This place will do great, and is another feather in Corbin's cap. Corbin has more top-quality restaurants in The Vintage House, The Depot and Tuscany Garden than the rest of the I-75 corridor. If anyone can name three equal or better restaurants from Jellico to Richmond I'd like to hear where they are. Now let's make sure we support them.

I too had th opportunity to dine last night.  The food was great and a neat atmosphere.  Lights are a little bright.  It won't take too long to work the kinks out...  Menu is as unique as many non-chain Italian restaurants.  Rumor has it they will serve a buffet on weekends.

It is not a national chain. The restaurant has been designed in an outstanding way, the food is very good, the menu has a wonderful selection, and I have had breakfast, lunch, and dinner the last several days and enjoyed it very much.

I agree. We need that restaurant to do very good. It is just off the Interstate and it should attract many people travelling through. We need it to make a good impression on people coming off the interstate from other places. I hope they get some people and a good showman like Pino to make customers feel welcome.

visited tuscany gardens saturday night, being hesitant to do so, me and my wife had a good meal, service was good also. i have heard more bad than good about the food and service, but my experience will take me back. i don't think i can bring myself to order the $13.99 spaghetti and meatballs.

We've eaten there twice, and enjoyed it both times. We waited for about a month before we ate there, so they could work out the "new" bugs that go along with a new restaurant.

We've heard the rumors regarding the staff and menu, as well as the management change. We haven't eaten there since all of that took place.

The two times we ate there, it was very good. The service was pretty good, as they were packed on both visits.

We're planning another visit within the next couple of weekends.

We'll see how it is, and I'll be sure and post it here.

Some close friends at at Tuscany over the weekend. They had eaten there several times since it opened. I asked them about their meal and service and such. They said it was drastically different that the previous times they had eaten there. One thing they commented on, the smaller crowd.

If what I've heard about the staff issues are true, I understand. They should remember, for each person they dismissed, or lowered their benefits, they have families and friends. One person can affect 10 very quickly.

I haven't eaten there since around christmas, so, I'll wait and see.

Ate lunch there today, pizza was fantastic (bread too), ranch dressing was homemade and good. I must have ordered the right things, because I really enjoyed it.

I've got to be honest, one of my family and two of my friends at here over the weekend and monday, and said it was great. The food was good, service was good, all was good. Yes, there was a small crowd, but, all was ok.

There was a moderate crowd, and some folks they knew were eating there. The owners were there, as they should be, greeting customers.

I'll be going there probably this weekend, the wife wants to go, and frankly so do I, so I can give my own opinion.

As we drove by the south corbin exit area this evening around 9pm, we noticed the cinemas were packed, O'Malley's was full, Buckners was full, even the waffle house was crowded. Tuscany Gardens had 7 cars in their lot.

Just goes to show you when you screw people over, they and their families never forget. Say what you want, but the group that owns that restaurant may be good investment businesspeople, but they have no clue about how to run a restaurant.

Agree. And they have no clue on how to treat the people who work for them.
And Bikini noodle wrestling is embarrassing for our community.

It looks like Tuscany Gardens is getting its act together after their noodle wrestling fiasco. I heard they are working hard on the food quality and responsive service. If this restaurant performs well it could attract a lot of people off I-75.  We are getting a number of good restaurants off I-75 at exit 25.

The last two nights were big for the restaurants out on the south exit. They were packed. Had to go by several times during the evening, both friday and saturday, taking kids to and from nibroc.

All of them were packed, all evening, as usual, except for this one.  Hardly any cars.

Just a matter of time IMO before the doors close.

Heard Doug from the Vintage House will take over at Tuscany, and rename it Vintage House II, starting this week, that's why he let the lease run out at Poynters place.

Just a rumor, anyone know anything about it.

I've been told face to face by one of the parties involved that this won't happen, but you know how things change around here. It would be great for all parties involved, but again, I was told this won't happen.

The  sign next to the road says that Tuscany is now offering Texas Holdem' tournaments.

Now that will please the city commission.

I notice Tuscany Gardens is drawing more customers and have heard their service is improving. I hope they continue to improve. We need strong restaurants in our area and especially off I-75 to attract customers passing through to stop and learn more about Corbin and Cumberland Falls State Park.

It will be good for Corbin if Tuscanny Garden does well. Let's pull for them to get things on track.

I agree. I have eaten there twice this week and enjoyed both meals. I am glad to see them doing much better in service and quality of food. We need to get more people to go back and see how much better it is now.

That will take some promoting of the restaurant by the ownership. The really terrible food and service from just a few months ago, the noodle wrestling, the owners husband's DUI issue, makes you want to avoid that place.

They're going to have to do some coupons in the paper, or something to get people back in there.

I ate there about 6 weeks ago, and I would not eat there again. If it's changed, they're going to have to make up for the bad food and service from before. I'm out about $75 for the last two times I ate there. Why would I chance throwing my money away again.
