I hope the basketball fans of our area will come out in good numbers to support the Cumberland Falls Invitational Basketball Tournament just after christmas. The Redhounds look good this year and there will be some good teams participating. This is a good time for us to show our warmest hospitality and welcome to those teams and their supporters who come to visit with us for this event. This is not only a basketball event but it is a tourism attraction as well. And each year several college recruiters come to see the talent in this tourney. Let's give our full support to our young people, school, and community and continue to make this a major attraction.
Very good point, also do not forget that CHS High School will be hosting the Regional Basketball Tourney this year, and great job by the school with the updated seating.
I believe some type of reception should be held for the visiting players and coaches who come to this tournament. The Varsity club does a fine job in conducting the tournament and they extend good hospitality to them at the gym.
What could the community do to show our appreciation to those who come to our community for the holiday tournament?
We love the tournament, but, I'd rather see all local (in kentucky) schools in it rather than the out of state schools. There are some very good teams within a 2 hour drive from corbin, that will bring their fans, and money.
