How is the Whitley County Airport performing? Has the traffic been surging through that airport as was predicted? Is it going to have the long term boost in our area's economic growth that was projected? How much did it cost and what are the annual operating costs? When will the taxpayers get a look at the performance of this major investment?

That airport is supposed to make a major impact on our region. How many people are working there? This question has been asked on this suject but nobody seems to know. Has it caused any traffic problems on Rt. 25 with all the people going and coming from work and all the people coming in our planes? This is an exciting addition to our area but I never hear anything about the great progress it must be making. How much did it cost to build it?

What did this airport cost to complete including the infrastructure of roads, and utilities? Has it brought any industry to the area? If it has, how many more jobs has that created? With Whitley County in such deep debt was this a good investment? Why don't our newspapers look into something like this?
I drove by the Whitley County Airport earlier this week and drove over to the hanger to see how many airplanes were there and there was zero. Do any planes ever come in to that airport? Why has millions of dollars been spent for a nice airport that has no traffic?
