But a community had better have a good website because that is a reflection on the way things are done in an area. An amateur website makes it look like an amateur community.  You should go over the Economic Development section on this website. This website is much more than a message board.

When are the next changes on the Tourism Commission? I hope Suzie stays on the commission. She is a very valuable person not just on the Tourism Commission but for our community.

I have heard that her husband is also a very sharp and capable person. I am disappointed the Chamber and Industrial Commission have stopped selecting an Entrepreneur of the Year at the Annual Industrial Appreciation Award Banquet. That would be a good business team to receive the award.

I hope Corbin will get back on offense instead of reacting so slowly to making things happen.

I don't know about the others, but I sure hope Estep stays on the board. He seems to have the guts to make the right decisions. Without him, I see no real leadership left on Tourism except maybe Tipton.

Those two men are both solid board members. I disagree with the poster before you. Board members should not be recognized at events. That should be saved for others. It is recognition in itself to serve on a board in a small town. To recognize board members at a banquet and expect the rest of the town to sit back and applaud would be wrong. I know those folks and they would not have wanted that. They do what they do for the good of the town and nothing more.

Who said anything about recognizing Board Members?  The Entrepreneur of the year is for a Business man or woman who makes an impact in business achievement in our area. I bet you are a member of the Chamber Board and you don't even know what the Entrepreneur of the Award is? Who are you saving the awards for?

Terry Forcht, Dave Huff, Charles Wynn, R. L. and Hettie Owens, John Bill Keck are examples of persons selected for this honor.

The Industrial Appreciation Banquet is to show appreciation to our businesses and business leaders. It is not for an Autobiography by a politician.  It used to also be an opportunity for local area businesses to have exhibits of their products and information about their companies.

Who in the world ever told you that anyone wanted to have the banquet to recognize board members and have the attendees sit back and applaud?  If a board member happens to be a person who has reached a high level of success in business he or she could certainly be considered.  This used to be the big award of the year. What happened to it?

Suzie is better by far than the two of them packaged together. I believe you need glasses.

Suzie would be a great Chairperson.

Yes, she would be an excellent choice. But, isn't it done in progression? Isn't McBurney next in line.

I read in the paper that if the restaurant and motel association promoter gets his way the next three appointments would be new people of his choosing. That would mean that Estep would go early in 2008 and I think maybe Shelton and Razmus too. I am not sure but maybe the terms for Patel, Tipton and McBurney expire later. McBurney is assistant chairman now.

Yes, that's what it said. I wonder if Willard will expand the committee to add more members, so he can have the hotel and restaurant members, as well as his own appointed ones.

We have access to all IP addresses and know who is typing what when.

My boss has that kind of software on her computer at work. I can't remember the exact name but is is something like IP Buster or Proxy Buster or something like that. It can track down the IP address of a poster on a message board even if you do not have administrative access to the board itself. The problem is that most IP providers like AT&T or Newwave will not disclose the identity of the IP address without legal paperwork. It gets even tougher if a proxy server is used. The very purpose of a proxy server is to protect the users identity and they are not about to give up the users information. TOR is be best one and it is impossible to track or bust even with a court order. By the way, TOR is free. Just do a google search for TOR, the onion. The downside of TOR is that it is sort of slow since your internet browsing goes through several TOR servers and sometimes around the world. The good side is that you can turn TOR on and off with the click of a button.

Why don't you and your boss then tell us all what IP address I posted this message from?

?

You should already know that. I am not much of a computer person but even I know that there are several websites that will show the IP address of your computer. Just do a quick internet search. I am not sure about the reverse IP locator, IP Buster or whatever the poster called it. I know I don't have anything like that. Maybe the poster just knows something that I don't.
