I am ready to walk Saturday morning at whatever time you want to walk. Should we start at the City Hall or at the old Train Depot? When do any others want to start? I'm ready.

Can someone tell what the money a local attorney took from harley dealer.  the paper gave a terrible article and i didn't understand why a local attorney office got hit so hard.

Apparently there are a few of us who are sincerely interested in "Walk Corbin", I think we should make plans for tomorrow morning, someone just needs to set the time and place - I'm ready.

We need to get together at some point to plan this out, so I suggest anyone interested meet at the Dixie tomorrow morning (Saturday), say 9am, have a cup of coffee and see what routes people are interested in, map them out, get AJ Carr to buy everyone breakfast, maybe walk one of the routes, then get AJ to buy everyone lunch afterwards, and proceed from there.

9am at the Dixie tomorrow OK?

Everyone, Bob Jr. is going to be opening his new comedy show at the Depot tommorow night, and he is testing his act here on this thread!  Lets all come out and support him with his new found talent.

Seriously, I am looking forward to the walk and the breakfast Bob Jr. will be buying, so lets put this thing together.  I think this will become a great passtime for many of us.

P.S.  I have confirmed that Bob Jr. has a open tab at the Dixie so in case he doesnt show up, we will all be able to eat a good breakfast.  If you happen to see him, make sure to thank him for his kind a gracious sponsorship of this event. biggrin

Oaklawn is my favorite place to walk. The streets are wide and well-maintained, the neighborhood is safe, there's very little traffic, and there's just enough hills to give your legs a good workout. You can walk it from Barton Mill back to Barton Mill (about 1 mile), or walk just around the circle (0.7 miles). Most people do multiple laps either way.

This sounds like a cool idea. What is the status? Did anyone meet to discuss?

I remember when Oaklawn was a site to see on Halloween. Is it still that way?

Whatever happened to this idea? Did it die for lack of interest?

No, it isn't dead, I walk several times a week, usually by myself, downtown.

I see several walking from time to time, but with the weather getting cooler, and the days shorter, fewer walk when I do.

For it to be a group event, someone throw out a time and date, and show up, and if anyone else want's to participate, then show up as well.
