People tell me its the officer directly under the chief that runs them off.

After reading the ex police offiers post it sounds like this guy was right.

I doubt it. Most police officers are well trained and are dedicated enough to see that the right thing is done. If there had been something going on at the Corbin police department I think the officers that left would be talking to the right people. I do know that Corbins chief is a good man and from what I have seen over the years has been a good chief.

I'll give some credit to what you say, but most of the police officers that have left corbin, according to a previous post in this thread, has stayed close to home, such as Laurel, Knox, and Whitley sheriff deputies, a few troopers, and a couple at the federal prisons. And, in those cases, it would seem to me they would more than likely keep their opinions quiet to make sure no bridges were burned, in case they had to come back, or didn't want to bring down any problems on them or their families from their previous employer.

Also, the "wrong" can be different kinds of things. It seems that at Corbin, things are done only in the line of "time on the job" and not qualifications. Meaning, no matter what you're doing or capable of doing, you'll be promoted if you're the next in line.

Of course, I'm looking at it from the outside in as far as my opinions are concerned. You didn't mention if you were retired from the Corbin PD, or another PD. Not that it matters, and I wouldn't expect you to identify yourself in that way, but, I just wondered if you had more intimate information to share as far as this is concerned.

Thanks for your input.
