DOWNTOWN forum meeting next Tuesday, Nov 13th. Try to come.

The next Downtown public forum meeting, is next Tuesday, November 13th at 6pm, at the old Depot. Try to come. I was at the last one, and it was really a good one. Lots of input and good ideas. It was refreshing.

Everyone should try to come that is interested in our Downtown, and our town in general.

I missed the last one but I heard it went well, I hope to be able to make this one. Will they be offering refreshments?

I hope we will be discussing a new library location. We need an updated, expanded, modernized version immediately.

The last one they had some very basic refreshments, water, coffee, some cookies and such. Nothing major.

Last time, the meeting could have gone on all night, the questions, comments, ideas kept coming out. She really had to cut it off.

I hope there is a good turnout, I think there will be.

What is accomplished at these meetings?

Are things really done or is it just BS?

I went to the last one. The main street woman talked a lot. it lasted too long. it was mostly just a bunch of people that love to hear themselves talk. maybe they will have some hot dogs or punch or something to make this one worth going to.

There are a few of you who have been against Ms. Myers and the Mainstreet program from the start. You bad mouth it and her and hope very much it will fail. You sing the same song over and over. You cannot accept that a lot of work is being done and that it takes some time to give attention to something of this importance that has been neglected so many years.

Quit being so preachy. I was just gave my impression of the last meeting. I barely even know Ms. Myers.

I'd say you weren't even there, actually, I'd bet money on it. If you were, you're probably the one about 6' 4", around 300lbs +, maybe have an office in there too. You gave yourself away with the wanting hot dogs issue. And, you could just leave if you wanted to.

I wonder if Estep will be there, or at least one of his reporters this time. The whole Tourism Committee should be there, it's in line with their mission.

Is this meeting for all the people of the Corbin area? Not just residents within the city limits?

The reason I ask this is I am not a resident of the city but I really care about the city of Corbin and would like to get involved in making it a great place for our children. But if those of us living outside of the city limits cannot voice our opinions and help then I will channel my efforts elsewhere.

You are very welcome to attend and give your opinions on the subjects that are discussed.

It couldn't be the City Manager because he is about 6' tall and doesn't weigh an ounce over 285 pounds.

By all means come on down, no matter where you live.

I live outside the city, and I chime in where ever I want to. Matter of fact, over 75% of the people at the last meeting, didn't live in the city. I don't want to start anything over that, but, thats the way it is.
