Community Leaders: City Limits not Required

Who would make a good leader for Corbin? There are individuals in this community who have proven leadership skills and abilities, regardless of their home address. Their are individuals who are working to make Corbin better, regardless of how our current administration handles new growth. We need positive leadership for positive growth, so lets see who you believe could be a difference maker in our town.

Another waste of a topic from the "outside looking in" group. Again they show that they are green with envy over the current elected leaders. The voters of Corbin finally get a good Mayor and four good Commissioners and the "outside looking in" group spends their time typing out BS posts in an attempt to puff up their deflated egos. Their opinions are always self serving and hardly anyone listens to them. This is made very clear by looking at the large number of things in Corbin that are not going their way right now even though Corbin is in the best position it has ever been in. The "outside looking in" group is definately playing the game in the loosers bracket as far as city government is concerned. As a Corbin voter, I am glad we have strong city leaders.

Bruce must have copied and pasted this on every thread here.

He probably learned from you copying and pasting all of the economic data. Plus he might have figured that you need to read something several times for it to soak in. And he is right. Most of your posts are a waste of time to read.

Why are you getting so defensive over a simple question like this? It is a great question and is very to the point.

Here are my thoughts, these are people with proven leadership who can carry on a good business conversation and sell their points:

Bill Hoover
Bob Terrell
Terry Forcht
Nelda Barton
Dennis Myers
John Wooley
Suzie Razmus
Ed McNeal
Bruce Ferris
Sharae Meyers
John Cohea

I like Willard McBurney and want his to do well, but too early in his term to add him to the leadership list yet, see if he sticks to his pre-election convictions.

Will add more as I think of some, these came to mind first.

"Outside looking in group"? Oh, you mean VOTERS!!! Sorry, it took me a minute to get your play on words, but I got it. And as to the statement, "hardly anyone listens to them" , looks like you are listening! And I would be willing to bet our "strong city leaders" are too! And as a Corbin voter, I am glad we have individuals who care enough about our town to be willing to talk about the issues and the need for leadership in its goverment. Dont feel threatened, Attitude reflects leadership!

That's a great list of people, no question those folks would make great support staff (in some way) to our current Mayor & Commissioners.

Their total experience and business leadership of these people listed could really help the community expand and grow and also be of great support to our fine government already in place. We have good commissioners also like Phil Gregory who has many years of experience and great knowledge, Bruce Farris, a super smart guy who is an expert with numbers!

Times have changed, soon the performance of many folks will be public record and moved around on the net at the speed of light. Everyone will know who has been a real value to the city and who has not, especially the full time resources we have currently in place.

The elected officials are responsible for the performance of these key positions and will ultimately look really good or crash based on what we get for our money.

Welcome to the 21st Century

This poster is right in one sense, it takes reading some of these several times just to make sure they are real, like the Green with Envy post. I have never laughed so hard in my life. Maybe green as in Green Acres, or as in the green poster is a little green. There is a world out there, you might want to go research it. Is this Green with Envy poster serious? I love my little town here, but outside looking In? LMAO.

Corbin has many good people serving in a variety of positions. Some choose to live in the city and take a more active part and some choose not to.
