The Mayor should ask Sam's & Carpenter to step aside, even though the Industrial Board is in charge of Carpenter, in the best interest of the city and the ability to move forward these two should do the right thing for the city and step aside.
This would enable folks to work together and start over with a clean slate, Sam's is a city employee and can be re-directed back to his recreation director job he is suppose to be doing in the first place.
Come on Mayor, do the right thing, ask these two folks to step aside and give the city a chance to start over and revive the Industrial effort & Chamber efforts.
Step aside guys if you really care about the City.
That would be an option. Another option would be for the mayor to also ask the former director to back off from economic matters and the board adminstrator to stop using the Corbin economic development website. Any discussion on this? Just the facts please.

What type of discussion are you looking for.
Yes, the mayor should as citizens to stop talking bad about him, it makes him look bad. Yes, free speech is no longer a right in corbin anymore.
Why don't you go ahead and start some type of discussion, so we can know how you feel about things. Just pick a topic. If it hasn't made it on here, we need to know about it.

Good point. I think part of he problem is that there are too many cooks in the kitchen when it comes to economic development in Corbin right now. That may have been what ruined the Harley deal. Hopefully the mayor can straighten this out.
The folks listed are the one's on the city payroll, unfortunatley everyone else are private citizens.
I think these two are unfortunatley are hurting the city, probably good guy's, grew up here in town but are both way over their heads now.
Most of the new business leaders are avoiding these guys also, the people with connections and resources are getting bad vibes from these folks and will turn their resources in different directions very soon.
I think the original post has some merit, these two are not good stewards of the city in their current positions.
