I hope this type of show is in the plans for our mainstreet program. This would be great on a weekend, using the two parking lots behind the old Newberry's and Boundarant Drug.
They had this at the state fair, and they have them often in Tennessee, and they're well attended.
I attended one of these back in late september in Tennessee, and it drew several thousand people. There were displays, a flea market for tractor parts and items, and many of the machines were for sale. It's amazing the number of people that was there. And, most all of the displayers stayed at least one night in town. That's money for our hotels and restaurants. The sponsors provided security for their equipment.
Great idea. I hope Ms. Myers looks at this and considers it.
