Military vehicle collectors show and display. This would be a nice event for corbin.

I attended one of these down around Chatannooga this past year, and it was very interesting. It drew hundreds of people the day I was there, and I spoke with the organizers about how well the attendance was. They estimated 5-7 thousand over three days.

There was all kinds of vehicles and equipment, many of which I used during my service years.

It was amazing how many WW II vets were there, and how many vehicles of that era was there as well.

Not to mention the VietNam era, there was even a Huey and Chinook helicopter. They were trucked in, but they said they would fly as well.

Several of the armored tracked vehicles had rubber feet on the treads so they could drive on the roads, and several offered rides, which was a big hit with kids.

They contacted two of their local national guard units, and they set up a static display of their equipment, vehicles as well as weapons, for all to see.

It was a great weekend. This would be great for our area, as each town around us has a national guard unit.

Think about it.

I like this idea. The P-33 exhibit in M-boro was a huge success over there.

I know Bob Sr. is a Leatherneck, so maybe he might get involved in this project.

OOH RAH !!

This would be a great thing for downtown.

All the national guard units could put a display out, all the recruiting officers could have booths, the high school ROTC classes could come out to help run things, an outstanding idea.

A great project for the downtown manager for next year.
