I understand the problems our governor is facing, and the financial issues he has to deal with are necessary.
But, leave educaion alone.
I say, put a freeze on tuition and fee costs for all schools, local and state univrsities and colleges. All of them.
No raises for people like Lee Todd and the other non teaching, non management employees. They are support staff. They are there because they have to support the teachers and professors.
No, line staff and such employees aren't included in this freeze. Maintenance, administrative, food service, etc. staff are not included in my suggestion. Only the upper percentages of staff, the ones that make all the money. Yes, the presidents and trustees and all of them.
Suspend ALL of the trustees payments or perks. They don't do it for free, believe me.
