Hello Ms. MERCSAKES, I haven't seen you post in awhile, since the governor won the election anyway, or I've just not seen the posts.
I have a question for you. You say that you work for him, and you posted quite regularly during the election. I don't expect you to answer for him, but, maybe you could give us some insight on what his plans are.
Such as, this budget mess we're in.
I know he didn't create it, and actually, it started a few governors before him. But he inherited it, and now he's trying to fix it in his own way. And that's fine too.
But his statement about taking money from the KEES money, will likely have him impeached. Is he serious?
He talked about being the education governor, and he sure will be if he does what he proposes with KEES program, he'll be the "Education Killer Governor". But, I have a legitimate question.
Doesn't the KEES money come from the Lottery? I"ve always been under the impression that it does. If I'm wrong, fine, stop reading and tell me I'm wrong. If it does, it's crazy to think he would even think of cutting that money. Could you tell us if it's true or not?
I'm a republician, and I voted for Beshear, because of the mess and embarassment Fletcher caused. I'll be voting against David Williams when he runs, and I'll be voting agains whomever the GOP nominee is in the presidential election is, and I'll be voting against and campaigning against Charlie Siler when he votes "no" on the casino issue. I'm still a republician, but, they've screwed up this country royally in my opinion, and I have a right to my opinion. I'm only one vote, as are the rest of us. So, I did vote for Beshear.
And, one more thing. The casino issue. I'm all for it. I have been from the start. If it doesn't pass the committees and such to get on the ballot, what's his plan.
I, along with several thousand Kentuckians, can come up with many more ways to save money than cutting education.
These are honest questions, and you are a Corbinite from way back. I'll thank you for your reply in advance.
