Hats off to our city utilities commission, for its lack of planning and foresight concerning the new miles long sewer line they're running to the new elementary school and tattersall.
Only our city utilities could run a line that long, and not even think of offering the people along the way the opportunity to hook up. They're not worried about the thousands of dollars a year they're passing up, or the potential annexation possibilities they're passing by.
Sure, we understand the "sealed system" issue. But, there's ways around that, if you do it now, during contstruction.
And Tattersall, all well and good for them, but, many out there don't want it, and won't connect, and that's their right. But, again, what about the many along the way.
Another shortsighted and lack of planning project by the city utilities commission. If they wanted to change it, they could. But they don't, so they won't.
And the mayor and commissioners wonder why no one wants to come into the city.
