Min wage increase, will it help?

MORNING coffeecup.gif

Well, first off I know everyone needs more money, but getting it from the government through a minimun wage incresase isn't the answer.

Just look at where the last increase got us.  Higher groceries and higher gas.  We can't blame everything on the war.  We knew when you increased the min wage that it would in turn increase the cost of everthing that was in direct relation to it.  Hence, most the minimum wage workers see a little more money, but we the middle class hard to make it guys end up paying for it in the long run.

Just wondered if anyone else sees it like I do.  We don't need government assistance.  Get an education and then you can tell people what your minimum wage will be.

biggrin

Minimum wage can't be blamed for gas prices and higher food costs, but our government sure can. Gas prices are to blame for higher everything that is shipped via truck, which includes food. We, the U.S., is behind the higher gas prices so that $150, $200, $300 or greater a barrel can come out of Iraq to help fund the war. Look to D.C. for blame, not minimum wage increases that were ten years late.

Mr. Wildcat is right on target, the minimum wage has nothing to do with soaring oil prices, this is absolutley a move to finance the War in two different countries!

No question the government is to blame, where is our trusty leader during this massive spike in fuel cost?

Seems like the more of these countries we liberate the higher the Oil prices, what's wrong with this picture, 200,000 troops protecting these guys and were paying 4-5 bucks a gallon for gas.

Who again are we suppose to be protecting & saving?????? It's sure not the American people, maybe we can have cave to cave communications with all our friends at the rate we are going?

I agree as well.

I can only voice my displeasure with my vote, so I'll be voting for whomever is running against Hal and Mitch.

It may not get them defeated, but it'll make me feel better.
