When it has been a tough day I like to stop by the Root Beer Stand and have a Root Beer Float. It seems to make things look better.

I believe they'll be closing at the end of the month. Get out and get your hot dogs, onion rings and root beer while you can.

We ate at your Root Beer Stand over the weekend, and we loved it! I'm not a root beer fan, but tried my husband's and it was really good, and I had a great Cheeseburger for next to nothing price wise. We read about it on here a couple of weeks ago and then it was mentioned to us from a local at the gas station we stopped at in CorbIn. Great place, we highly recommend it to everyone. It's not the most beautiful looking place when you first see it, but don't let that scare you off.

The word on the big Corbin streets is that the Root Beer Stand will close Wednesday (Oct 3) for the season.

THEY DID CLOSE TODAY... I WAS READY TO GET MY TUMMY FULL FOR THE LAST TIME THIS SEASON.. WE WENT THERE AT 8:30 2NITE AND THEY WERE ALREADY CLOSED. LIGHTS OFF, EVERYGONE KIND OF CLOSED.. I WILL FALL OFF TO NOTHING NOW.. HA HA WE LOVE TAMMY, BONNIE, MELISSA, BRITTNEY, JOY AND ALICE.  GIVE THEM A GOOD TIP AND I PROMISE YOU WILL GET YOUR FOOD ASAP.

A few years ago Jack gave us some frozen chili so we had chili buns all winter that year. I like Dixieburgers most of all, so this past Monday I got four Dixieburgers, ate one of them and put the other three in the freezer. So three times this winter I plan to enjoy that unique Dixieburger taste. If I space it out right, that should be one around Thanksgiving, one in early January, and one in late February.

It's open, up and running, and as crowded as ever.

For every complainer I'v talked to, there must be 100 that love it as I do.

It's an icon. Simple food, good value, and just a good place to eat.

The Dixie should have done as the Root Beer Stand did, not change what worked.
