Buckners

Buckners is a very good restaurant. We are pleased they have opened a restaurant in this area.

Buckner's is OK, but the food is inconsistant. One day good, one day lousy, one day fair. That's the only complaint I have. The Depot is better food-wise, but the service is inconsistant.

Was in Buckner's the other night... some good looking women, pretty crowded... Kinda surprised.

Buckner's also offers wireless internet. Good place to conduct a meeting with 4 or 5 people, or to check your e-mail and get an little work done. Food is OK - not great, not bad.

While The Depot and Vintage House might be nicer inside, I think Buckner's is a much better value, from their food menu to beer and drinks. Buying a Bud Light at the Depot of $3 - $4 is a ripoff, and The Depot's steaks are way overpriced.

I agree. Buckners provides a very good value. The food at Buckners is very good.

I enjoyed the "greasy spoon" as I was passing through from my trip that began in California. I paid my tab with a credit card and gave the waitress a nice 20% (do regular customers tip 20% in Corbin) tip in cash and went on to my travels...or that is what Buckners thought when they knew I wasn't from around there. As I checked my bank account balance online, I noticed Corbin's friendly little Buckners decided to add an additional tip on my credit card. I guess they didn't think someone from California would return to their store to complain about adding $10-$15 bucks to the bill....Well, I returned to Buckners and got my money back but I didn't get the thing I really wanted....all I really wanted was for them to say "I am sorry".....now ask me I am ever going to return to Corbin and pay with a credit card?

Those of us who enjoy living in Corbin regret that you had this experience. I am sorry this happened to you. And I know many other people do not like to see people treated this way.

I'm sorry also that you had a bad experience at Buckner's, but during my travels over the years I have had similar experiences with restaurants in Dallas, Chicago, and yes, in California as well. You have good people everywhere, and jerks everywhere as well.

Sounds like your "Greasy Spoon" experience wasn't too bad until you got messed over on your Credit Card, since you did tip 20%. My point is, it's not a "Corbin" or in reallity not even a Buckner's problem - it can be a problem anywhere you travel or dine.

I have travelled all over the world...this has only happened to me at Buckners...I would guess other establishments would at least have told me that they were sorry for the inconvenience but Buckners never did....they just went into the back room, came back out and then said "ok, it is taken care of" which led me to believe that .....they got caught.....

I hope that's not the case - hopefully it was just someone who was inexperienced, didn't know how to handle the situation correctly, etc. I know I might be making excuses for them, but I hate that one or two jerks can ruin an entire business' reputation, when I know most of the people who work there are pretty good people. But I understand where you are coming from.

No more excuses, unfortunatley a bad experience for this traveler. No question this happens everywhere as this has happened to me in two different locations. Unfortunatley the damage is done with this guy and it happened on our turf. I think the lesson here is to watch this closely from a Local standpoint and see that a pattern does not develop. Hopefully this is just a few jerks who who did the wrong thing, if not and this continues the Local Authorities may have to be alerted.

Sorry for the bad experience, our apologies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the response...but in fact, it was the manager that had the responsibility of apologizing to the out-of-town customer....as I said before, I gave them a good tip....why did they have to rob me?

My recent meals at Buckners have been very satisfactory.  The quality of the food is good, and the prices and services are competitive. This is another good option to consider for meals in this area.

We stopped at Buckners while passing the Corbin area and enjoyed a good meal with very good service.  It is handy off of I-75 and it doesn't take much time to eat there. Corbin is getting some better places to enjoy a good meal.

Butners was busted last night for serving under age. Has been serving under age for some time.

Problem is you can get buy doing anything you want in Corbin without a fine. Look at Angles and Wings. As long as Corbin gets money the city will look the other way. Sound familiar?

Stopped off at Buckners two days ago and the service and food quality was very good. It sure is handy off I-75 but they sure need to expand that 25W that is so crowded off the expressway. It is a bad traffic area.

A group of us had lunch at Buckners yesterday and we had a very good lunch. There were a good number of customers at lunch. They know how to operate very effectively.

We eat here about every two weeks or so. We enjoy it. Service is slow occasionally, but so are the big chains in the big cities.

We take friends there, and they have always enjoyed it. No complaints.

The owner of Buckners knows how to run a very good restaurant. Today there was a great crowd at Buckners for lunch the Italian Restaurant had only a few. It looked like there were many more cars at O'Malleys than at Tuscany. What is happening at the Italian place?

I stopped off I-75 exit 25 and ate at Buckners and the food, service, and price was very good. When we pass this way again we will have a good meal at Buckners. We also find the service to be quick and we don't have to spend much time on our trip south.

We also enjoy this website and frequently review it. Thanks.

We love this place, we eat there quite often.

The waitress said they will be adding things to their menu this summer.

My wife and some of her friends had lunch at Buckners this week and they all enjoyed it very much.

There is a friendly atmosphere in Buckners and it is well managed and well staffed with professionals. It is good to have this restaurant in our area.

I generally like Buckners. But they need to keep it cleaner. The men's bathroom is filthy. I would hate to go into the kitchen. I hope the management reads this post and cleans it up.
