The big man had his yes men putting out the story that he was pulling out of NIBROC and the City of Corbin would go into a tailspin as everybody would have to go to the Chicken Festival. The sky was falling in on us and it would be like a Tsunami had just hit us. Well, it looks like there will still be a NIBROC this year because the bit man doesn't want to give up his control on this event. Many people were hoping he would throw in the towel so that NIBROC could become a community event and not a one man ego trip.

Billie Boy's Aunt

Thanks for reminding me of that great song, "Oh, where have you been, Billy Boy, Billy Boy,? Oh where have you been charming Billy?" I learned to sing that song in the third grade at Corbin High School back in the 1970's and I still have a record by Frank Schinatra that I play very often. Today's music just doesn't measure up to those great songs of the past. This website is the most enjoyable thing I have to keep up with since I won the lottery and blew all the money within two years.

I've never attended NIBROC, but if they would assure me that "Billy Boy" will be sung this year I promise I will attend.

Thanks for the song. I agree that it should be the theme song of NIBROC this year. The yes boys could sing and dance that song on the main stage to open the entertainment, and to close the show.

This is another reason I love this website. It has all kinds of action. I'm as happy as a dancing chicken!

I heard Eddie Arnold will be there this year. And the Everly Brothers, and McGuire Sisters. It looks like a big year.

The Big Man and his yes men couldn't find a stage big enough for them to stand on.

Till our troops come home from the war I believe we should cancel events like NIBROC and the Chicken festival. With our troops still in danger, and with gasoline prices soaring we should support our troops by giving up some of our fun things and spend the money on better hospitals for returning veterans, for better equipment to protect them against IED's, and to help their families who are seperated from them.

And since we are having to keep some of them over there three months longer and send them over 2, 3, and 4 times we should have a certain number of members of the President's staff, our congress, state offices and legislature, and city and county governments across the nation serve in the war zone with our brave troops. This would help the congress to have a better idea if it is a civil war or not, and if the surge has any chance of working.

There is only a small number of America's brave troops and their families who are suffering the pain, injury, anxiety, death and seperation from those they love. Why don't we all give up something to help them?
