MMMMM? I have read back to several of the References about the President of The United States, The Vice President & Gov. Of the State of Ky also looked at several statements about candidates where were running for several offices in the past six months.

Am amazed that some of the hard hitting points about the President would be OK but a references about some of the local Politicians is cut????

Looks like some Situational Ethics here, how about applying the same Standard across the board to all candiates. Double Standards?

This morning VP Dick Cheney, the brain behind our puppet President GW Bush, appeared on NBC's "Meet the Press". After watching his performance I believe he is a candidate for ABC's "Dancing with the Stars" - he can spin, shuffle and waltz his way through a yes and no question as well as anyone - but his 6-year act of lies, condradiction and self-agenda and is getting very stale. This guy would (and probably could) sell candy to a diabetic if he and his friends could profit from it.

Here ya go pal, a posting from a few months back, labeled Dick Cheney Dancing Lessons. Calling the the President a Puppet (Seems like I have heard that before somewhere?) Selling Candy to Diabetic's? There is another shot at Conservatives in this same group of postings, take the time to read back.

I keep reading about the issues on this site, and the issue about Doc Perry- where he resides.. Did Mcburney not live in Laurel Co. for many years and not move back into Corbin, until about 2 years ago? Can someone answer? Apparently Doc Perry Is giving people who support Mcburney a run that they did not expect. That is why they call it politics. It is fun to watch when there is an election on any level of government. One good thing about it we have the freedon to pick our leaders. There are many countries where people have no choice.

MMMMM? I think the issue may be not where McBurney lived two years ago but where Dr. Perry resides today. I think it's clear where McBurney lives down on Popular Street, it seems not to clear where the Doctor may or may not live.

The law says you must be a Corbin Resident, Dr. Perry may live in the city, nobody seems to know where though.

Very clear to most all where these two folks stand on most of the issues. There will be a Winner and a Loser just like in all races. The winning team will then travel down the course that the New Mayor & Commission opt for. There will also be several on the other side of the tracks that find themselves out in the cold, part of the process & politics.

If you are so certain of what this town needs why not run for mayor yourself. October 27 is the last day to file and put your name in as a write in. It seems to me after reading many of the posts that there are many people that are smarter than the current local government or the people running. Looks like we would be lucky to have someone of your "intelligence" as a comissioner or mayor. I'm assuming that Dr. Perry, being a physician will take into consideration many factors when making decisions for our community. Maybe he will look into making all restaurants and public establishment SMOKE FREE!!! What is the difference in package stores and buying a drink in a restaurant? Will be more controlled so our local teens won't be buying at the many bootleggers in the tri-county area.... Why not run and try to make a difference instead of just blowing a bunch of hotair...

Evidently someone has been referring to the President Of The United States as a PUPPET in this website.Whoever disagreed with the poster has to eat crowe on that one.But yet these derogatory remarks toward the president and Vice President were never edited???? But on the other hand the references to the BOOZE BROTHERS WERE EDITED???? where in the world have I heard local adds about about a local candidate being referred to as a PUPPET??? Just wondering!

Do people not understand with the type of local government system we have it really doesn't matter who our mayor is. The commisioners are important and our city manager. The city manager is to blame for most of the current bad decisions.... No one seems to want to look at that or do anything about it.. I do find it interesting how he is not a resident of the city of Corbin or even Whitley Co. for that matter... Ever been to his smoke infested office... He has a lot of respect for our government building and his government car!! What a joke he is -- hopefully others will realize before it is too late and the town is broke!!! I don't think folks realize what good shape the city was in when Dave Hudson was the city manager.. A look back at past history wouldn't hurt ....

Bad excuse. What is their excuse for White being a no-show in Williamsburg at the University of the Cumberlands forum? Show up, answer the questions posed by the students and press, then make your excuses if you somehow don't think it was fair. I attended both forums and the questions were the same for both mayors, all comissioners and councilmen.

Bottom line is White doesn't possess Bob Terrell's experience, knowledge, business and management skills, people skills, or abilities.

Nice try folks. Anyone who knows Bob Terrell, as many, many people do throughout the county, state and country knows he doesn't bash anyone, cares more about people than anyone most of us will ever come across, and will fight against anyone who doesn't put the people's best interest first, no matter what party they represent. I'm still waiting to hear White talk in-depth about any issue. Everyone knows he cannot stack up to Terrell, and thats why he won't debate him.

You can easily look back at the references about President Bush, Vice President Cheney, Conservatives in General and clearly tell the same person running the Terrell campain is posting in this site. The same "Puppet" term keeps popping up, very easy to pin this to the Terell Team. This is the way they really feel about you Republicans.

These recent years Republicans, Democrats, and Independents in Whitley County have all been hurt by the lousy leadership that cares more about a few people than it cares about all our people. For Pat White, the brilliantly educated non practicing attorney to fail to show up at two debates is an insult to the people of this county. If he is too afraid to meet his opponent and answer questions about his plans how we stand up and handle the tough issues the county faces in these coming years. We need a change in leadership in Whitley County. He is the selection of the same old group who have driven us into higher taxes and higher debt. Wake up. Do you want Whitley County to continue to be the worst run county in Kentucky?

The only insult I find is termionolgy used in this website toward our PRESIDENT and VICE-PRESIDENT.
