As I mentioned several days ago, the only edits I made were the "BB" references - I left the posting, your opinions and thoughts. I am not worried about names and references we hear practically every day regarding both political parties. I think you will find that I have left all of the postings untouched, regardless of who it is targeted towards, as long as they are not obscene or cross certain lines.  As I have briefly looked over the postings, along with some of the references you have mentioned that posters have made there are also postings with Losers, Zombies, and other references. I'm sorry if it bothers you that I removed the "BB" reference, but maybe you will understand a little better if I explain my reasons. My concern is not the Democrats being called this or Republicans being called that - we hear these references on every news channel, late night talk show, and the like everyday. However, when you use a phrase such as the "BB" reference on a local website where the individuals you are referring to have young children who attend local schools, other kids could might brings these references to school, and it can create a problem for persons other than the candidates. I don't think the candidates themselves mind the sticks and stones stuff - I think they understand it is one of the unfortunate parts of politics. I'm not trying to show favoritism to anyone by removing "BB" - if similar references were made about any of the candidates for Commissioner or Mayor such as the "BB" reference, I would pull it. I also think you made your point pretty clear without the "BB" reference. 

Also, if you somehow think that "Puppet" is a political term that I personally invented and only use, you are mistaken. In fact, google the two words "Puppet" and "Politics" together and you'll get many opinions about both political parties and many political figures.

I try to read as many postings as I can, and I have filters set up for obscene words. If I miss one, please call or e-mail me and let's discuss it.

How long had the Republican Rally been scheduled? Did not see any advertising anywhwere. Was it a spur of the moment thing to draw away from the Forum? Who rented the Technology Center? Any one know? Sounds like dirty politics has usual in Se Ky.

It only sounds like dirty politics when Bob Terrell Jr,Selectively edits what he wants on this website, and derogatory references to the PRESIDENT,Such as Slimey Individuals,Idiots,Bums,Puppets {Terrells favorite}, GOES UN EDITED. yet you see the same derogatory language used  in BOB TERRELLS  ads against PAT WHITE JR, PUPPET is the Terrells favorite .Now don't you think its dirty politics against the REPUBLICANs, the people that will ultimately have to make a decision to switch over for Terrell to win. The Republican Rally was advertised in the News Jounal newspaper,Sorry you missed it. And there is no DEBATE between candidates.This is a forum for candidates to answer questions,and from what I have heard PAT WHITE JR,Did a marvelous job at the REPUBLICAN RALLY.

What you just explained is called Situational Ethics. Give me a break, Concerned about school children saying Booze Brothers??? You don't think they can read the word Hypocrite-Slimey-I can go on and on.

Each time I read your criticism about the Terrells it makes me that more determined to help Bob Terrell win this election. It is obvious the writer of the puppett letters is a puppett himself. How can you excuse a 29 year old candidate who is an attorney (who has never practiced law) when he snubs the voters by failing to show up at two debates.

He would not come to Corbin to debate and he wouldn't go to Williamsburg. Why?

He is afraid. He believes the Republicans of this county will elect him whether he is qualilfied or not. I believe the Republicans are much smarter than he thinks. The Republicans as well as Democrats have been mislead by the power brokers who have been running Whitley County. Across this county Republicans and Democrats are getting on the Terrell Team. Even in Williamsburg some people believe Terrell will win a majority of the votes in that city. The momentum is moving and the White backers are going to run a dirty campaign this last week because they see this election slipping out of their hands. Your letters bashing the Terrells will just make his supporters work harder. Thank you for getting us riled up. I plan to make 500 phone calls between today and election day. The phone calls for Terrell will not be recorded messages. They will be from real, live persons. Let's get every vote out for Terrell. Let's make a change in Leadership! Vote for Terrell November 7!

Disregard the name calling and negitive attacks-That's part of most campaigns. I don't agree, but it is fact. MR. WHITE has not, in any of his ads, stated what he can offer the citizens of Whitley County. What are his capabilities other than being able to ride on heavy equipment as a child? Bob Terrell has proven himself nationally and worldwide as to his capabilities. H__L! I can drive a tractor.

I think Pat White is afraid to face Bob Terrell in any public forum. Regardless of the fact that he is an attorney, supposedly inteligent, he has limited business experience. Mr. Terrell has shown many times that he can perform any duty asked of him. His history in management with Ford Motor Company and knowledge of detailed business activities should place fear in anyone opposing him in either the public or business realm.

Bob Terrell was asked,as stated by both local media, to help Oklahoma City acquire a foriegn company to locate a facility in that area and was successful. What can he do for Whitley County? I think the possibilities are potentially endless. Bob Terrell is, in reality, the only legitimate candidate to manage our financial and social woes. He is highly inteligent and honest in all that he attempts. He is willing to work tirelessly for the benefit of all the people in this area because he sincerely cares about people, especially his home county.

What has Pat White done? I don't know. What is he able to do? I don't know.

 

Commissioners: Ferris, Shelton, ? and ? The 3rd and 4th spots are wide open, none of them are that impressive. Wish some "True" community oriented people woud run in the future.

Mayor: McBurney, good man, can dedicate the time necessary for the job, cares about Corbin and not any political group. Perry is a nice guy, but you can't help but notice who seems to be heavily supporting him.

Judge Executive: Terrell. White can't hold a candle to him experience wise, knowledge wise, and compassion wise. Make a checklist of positives, they all fall under one candidate - Terrell. White has not and cannot give an in-depth comment about the job and the County's issues. (probably why he wouldn't show up at the Forums). White is another one who you can't help but notice some of the characters who are supporting him. 

Farris May be the only Commish who will return, Shelton has got involved in another race and has hurt himself badly. Shelton will be way down the list.

OK if we're going to play this anonymously game I will too.  First off Dr. Perry stated that sunday sales was not an issue as well. If it's not an issue let"s drop it.  I bet though if Willard gets it there will be.  I believe Jimmy Vance is one of the individuals backing him. I wonder if Willard will owe him any favors if Willard gets in.

It's too Late for the BBs!Everyone knows who is backing PERRY and SHELTON.Take look at Sheltons bilboard on Falls road and ask yourselves who owns those bilboards and whose faces are on there.You can run but you can't hide.Truman clearly stated in the primary that he was for alcohol sales and on Sunday,this appeared in the new journal. He tried to duck the issue at the forum, but claimed sunday sales increase would be a benefit.
