I didn't know the speed limit on kentucky street was 75 mph.
Try walking down town in the evenings or early morning. You'll be run over if you cross the street.
Where are the police? Are there speed limits on that street? I know there are. Why aren't they enforced.
The motorcycles are the worse vil...

Don't shoot the messenger!
(Preview)
After reading all these threads and most all the posts, why are you, the upset people, mad at the board administrator? He just gave you the board to voice your opinions. He didn't write all these posts that apparently have upset a certain faction in town. How could he? Do you think he has the time to spend...

New excavation work just past El Dorado's, anyone know what they're doing.
(Preview)
Drove by today, and noticed a lot of new excavation work being done on the property just past El Dorado's restaurant, next to the Bingo hall. Just wondering if anyone knew what was going on. That's a big piece of property. Just about anything could go in there. Wonder if it's in the city limits.

So, Laurel County offers the Harley dealer occupational tax incentives to build there, and if wasn't for the corbin contract, they would have went. Clay county does the same several years ago, for a sock factory in their industrial park, and they build and come. They are gone now, but, they were the...

SUNDAY SALES, what do you think, honestly !!!!!
(

(Preview)
In my opinion, this is one of the most talked about topics in and around corbin, and receives the least amount of discussion and coverage of any politically oriented topic. Even after the election gave us restaurant sales, they took away sunday sales.
Yes, I concede, only sunday sales after 1 or 2...

The City should do the right thing and call this Board "The Tri-County" Tourism Board. The Chairman is passing himself off to other Tourism entities as a Citizen Of Corbin, this is not true and phony marketing. If we are going to do this let's hire Pro's from Major Consulting Companies, pay...

Knox County Occupational Tax, where is Corbin's share.
(Preview)
I had hoped that by now, our city government would have done something to push knox county to give us our fair share of the occupational tax money collected. I don't know if they have or not, does anyone else. What can we do about this, sue them, add another 1% to their tax. Any ideas. Julio Cima hasn't do...

Does anyone know, if I annex into the city limits, will my corbin city taxes just be added to the present county taxes, or are the county taxes reduced, and the city taxes are taken from the total, with the county now taking a lesser amount than they got before.
